One of the things that was available was their Tony Moly EXPERT Triple BB Cream which works for whitening, wrinkle prevention and care, and UV protection (SPF45, PA+++).
"Expert triple BB cream SPF45PA+++ Diffused reflection makes prism effects under any lights, completes spotless shiny skin Expert 3D Collagen BB cream SPF40PA+++ Boosting Collagen synthesis effect helps skin reconstruction. Filling between the wrinkle."
I had the privilege of trying out some sample sizes of the product and despite my aversion for high-SPF BB Creams (I much prefer getting my SPF from a moisturizer or sunscreen), this one was actually pretty good!
Consistency, Blend-ability and Coverage
This BB Cream really packs a punch cover-wise. The consistency is thick and somewhat heavy, almost like a slightly viscous tinted moisturizer. If you've been reading this blog for long enough, I'm not a huge fan of heavy BB creams, but I can probably make an exception for this one for reasons I'll be discussing later.
So Like I said, the coverage on this BB Cream is awesome if you know how to apply it right. The trade-off, however, is that because of its viscosity, it's somewhat difficult to blend and sets quite quickly. You have to have fast hands for this one! A good tip is to actually apply a little at a time to different portions of your face rather than the usual dabbing of product all over and then blending.
Color and Finish
I think it's obvious from the pictures above and the latter photos that this BB cream leaves a white cast. That's expected considering how much SPF this BB Cream packs in its arsenal. I guess I don't have to say that this isn't very flash-photography friendly either. That being said, despite its light color, This some how oxidized to fit my skin tone quite well, albeit being just a shade too light once I set it with my correct toned setting powder.
Despite the color fail, I have to say I'm rather infatuated with the finish that this BB Cream gives. Even though its consistency is thick and heavy, it still manages to smooth out the skin and sits on the natural skin in a sheer manner, all while evening skin tone and providing decent coverage. I mean, in the picture above, you can only really tell I have BB cream on one side of my face because of the color, otherwise, the skin texture is pretty natural! This is a huge plus for people who don't really have problematic skin, but this also smooth out skin for those who have problems with texture.
Longevity, Oil Control and Wear
This is what sold the the EXPERT Triple BB Cream for me. I wore this once through a full 12 hour school day and the oil-control is awesome. Need I mention it's summer here in the Philippines and the average temperature out is 35-38 degrees Celsius. Crazy, huh?
For the pictures in this post however, I only got to wear it for 6 hours but still, the wear is amazing. You can pretty much tell from the picture below how well this wears throughout the day (I wish I could say the same for my lips haha). My concealer sort of gave in throughout the day, thus the dark under eyes, but the rest of my face stayed relatively matte. There's no slipping and very minimal shine and dare I say the color even blended out to my natural skin tone.Basically, this BB Cream (at least on my skin), got better with wear!
What sorcery is this!?!?!?
Honestly, I have a feeling if I was more diligent with blotting and touching up, I would've looked like I had fresh makeup on the entire day :P The pictures below were taken after I retouched my lips. Tell me, can you even tell that my makeup was applied 6 hours prior? Haha.
So all in all, this BB Cream was a huge gamble for me. I really don't like thick BB Creams but I might actually consider using this one for whole-day functions if I want to stay fresh all day. It's somewhat reminiscent to my all-time fave FairyDrops Candy Bar BB Cream except with SPF (and that unsightly white cast in flash-photography). If I were given the choice, I'd wear this to outdoor functions and the Fairydrops BB Cream for nights out, but they're essentially on par with each other when it comes to quality.
I can't exactly vouch for the whitening and wrinkle care properties since I only have 2 samples (which lasted me an entire week of use btw) but I guess it's nice to note that it claims to help on those aspects.
On my skin, this can actually pass off as a concealer instead of a BB Cream and I doubt my skin would be able to take me wearing this on my face for more than a week because of its heavy consistency. I might actually consider purchasing a full bottle if I had the chance :P
So to sum it all up.
Pros:
Pretty long-wearing on my combination skin.
Decent coverage
Natural finish
Smooth texture
High SPF/ UV Protection
Wrinkle Prevention and Care
Whitening Properties
Good Oil Control
Oxidizes well on my skin
No slippage of fading throughout the day (on my skin).
Cons:
Thick, heavy consistency
Difficult to Blend/ Sets quickly
Leaves white cast in flash-photography
Only one shade available (as far as I know)

i should say that it looks better on you after 6 hours xD i means it looks more natural and just like you're using no face makeup..
envy your face, it looks so flawless with no makeup >.<
True, true! That's why it's SORCERY, i TELL YOU! i should just apply my makeup the night before and let it sit so that when I wake up it suits my skintone better LOL. Not the most hygienic of practices but owell hahaha. I'm kidding of course :P
It's not really flawless x_x The flash of my camera is really good at washing out some of the imperfections on my face haha. I even have a scar on my forehead if you notice lol. But thanks for the compliment *blush* :P
I want to try it now because my skin turned back to oily combination now and I need something that can last allday ^^
Wahh~ Looks pretty promising! :'D It looks like it just gets more and more natural as time goes on! >u<
I'm not too fond of heavier bb creams, but I might give this a try in the winter. c: Thanks for sharing~
Yah! I agree you have a high-tech camera I guess your pictures are so pretty! at least you are photogenic! :-). Very detailed.
Yes, actually it is a nice product, but I prefer Etude more than this ^^
Can't say nothing except flawless!!
Your skin are amazing babe
I usually don't like thick BB creams but this seems perfect. *-* I definitely need the oil-control especially since I'll be going to be a place that has a similar climate to the Philippines.
Thanks for the review on what I hope will be a holy grail product for me. (❁´◡`❁)*✲゚*
Love the look! Hmm I've swatched it at there store ndi ko peg.. kasi nga medyo heavy n sticky in my hand what more sa face :}
Wow! 6 hours staying power.. too bad it is white cast. Btw I love your eyeliner. Can you teach us how to do it?
WOW . VERY PRETTY AND GORGEOUS :)
Never tried any bb creams from Tony Moly before. but I'm eyeing on their CC Cream. Hehehe. Your review is very informative I also like you fotd look kaso just like what Eyah said, you really should work on your brows. :)
Oh? So it's finally starting to warm up again huh? I thought Europe would be caught in a perpetual winter. So far it's been scorchingly hot here haha. This might work quite well for you :) Be careful about the shade though! :)
We're the same. I absolutely hate heavy bb creams. This one was also rather hard to blend, but at least it lasts pretty long haha. Thanks for dropping by!
Haha yeah. Etude is definitely a contender when it comes to BB Creams. I've only ever tried samples of their BB Creams though. They don't sit too well on my skin for some reason. I much prefer using the Baby Choux Base in place of their BB cream instead.
Aww, you're making me blush x_x The BB Cream helped as well haha. Thanks for dropping by!
It's really rather thick, isn't it? Haha. Some people say it isn't though (after reading some other reviews), but some have the same opinion as I do. I guess I'm just used to lightweight bb creams. But because this is so thick, it's really hard to blend x_x It took me twice as long to apply this than my usual BB Cream.
I hope you have fun wherever you're going! Bring a lot of sunscreen and really cool clothing because it's absolutely scorching here!
I'm not sure if this would be a holy grail, because of the white cast and all, but it might be pretty close, depending on your skintype! I hope it works as well for you as it did for me!
Oo nga eh. heavy nga siya. Effort i-blend. Actually, akala ko mabilis siya mag-s-slip sa face ko kasi nga napaka heavy, pero lo and behold - what a surprise haha. Pero malamang di ko 'to mapapang-everyday. It was fun to try it though :P
I'll try to make a tutorial on the different ways I do my eye liner soon. Please stay tuned for it! :)
:P Thanks Erica!
Yeah! I've heard so many raves about the CC Cream. I hate how the Philippines is so behind when it comes to the cosmetic market, but better late than never.
Yehp. I've been trying really hard to master my brows. I might have them shaped when I have time, but I'm swamped with classes every day for my summer semester from 9 to 7 so I don't know when I'll have the time. Do you by any chance have any recommendations of where to get them shaped? I've heard so much about BrowHaus (sp?) but it's so far away from where I live D:
I find a lot of foundations/bb creams looks much more natural after some wear, but maybe it's because I apply too much. lol
Your skin is doesn't even look like it needs any coverage! :O
Oh really interesting product sweetie!
www.sakuranko.com
good thing they had in sachet form =) so you could try before buying the fullsized product =)
well that's a promising looking BB cream,
loooove the makeup
kisses~❤
I recommend using it as a make-up base for those with medium to medium/dark skin tone. Also it is essential to set it with a translucent powder to maximize it's benefits. Check out my review:
