Hey guys! Hope you haven't missed me too much. The semester is drawing to an end for me, so I've been swamped with work lately and haven't had time to line up posts. Fear not, however, as I am back with an awesome haul post with the much anticipated Etude House Sweet Recipe line.
I wonder what could be inside?
Doesn't it look just gorgeous? The first round of shipment finally came along to some selected Etude House boutiques in the Philippines. Specifically the only products out right now are the Berry Baby Choux Base, all the colors of the Sweet Recipe Candy Stick, all the colors of the Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color and all the Sweet Recipe Icecream Nails. I only got one color of the nail polish and skipped on the Candy Sticks (they aren't really my style), and the rest of the collection is due for arrival next week at the earliest. :)
You guys can also probably see that I stocked up on some of my Etude House essentials as I'm quickly running out (I use them so often!). So a quick rundown on everything I got.
I got four out of the five colors of the Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color. I forgot to get the other one, so I'll probably get it on Part II of this haul haha. The colors I have right now are PK 001 Blueberry Cheesecake, PK002 Strawberry Chiffon Cake, RD301 Raspberry Mousse Cake, and OR201 Orange Choux Cake. I forgot to pick up OR202 Peach Sugar Cake which is ironic since it was the one I was most looking forward to, but owell. I should be happy with what I have. I'll get the last one later :P
Don't they look absolutely gorgeous? I thought these would be creamier from the picture above, but they're almost like solid tints which can be used on the lips, cheeks and eyes. I'll do a full review on these once my collection is complete haha.
The next thing I got was one of the Sweet Recipe Icecream Nail colors in #1 Mint Choco Chip. I paired it off with an Etude House regular DBR401 Bravo Brown so I could do an Choco Syrup Ice Cream NOTD. Look forward to that! I didn't splurge too much on the other colors because I was pressed for cash but I might purchase them sometime in the future if I feel the intense want for them haha.
Isn't the packaging just gorgeous? I can't wait to actually try mine out.
And probably the product I've been anticipating most, Sweet Recipe Baby Choux Base in Berry Choux. I really want to get the other colors - Mint Choux and Peach Choux when they're available, but for now I'm more than content with Berry Choux.
Berry Choux is supposedly for people with dull skin, Peach Choux for people of darker complexions for tone evening and Mint Choux to help with redness and acne. I tried this out when I got home and it really does leave a smooth canvas for your face on first impression. I'll try it out more to see how well it works in the humid Philippine climate before committing to the purchase of the other bases :)
In addition to these exciting purchases, I couldn't help but restock on some of my Etude House favorites when I saw they were in stock at my local Etude House. I've been using my Goodbye Pore Ever Pore Primer Stick religiously so it's no surprise that I repurchased. I also tried out the Goodbye Pore Ever Pore Primer Essence so I could do a comparison on the two. I hope you're looking forward to that post as much as I am.
I just ran out of my Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer so I purchased another tube, only to be surprised at the new packaging haha. It's pink now! I'm not complaining. The formula's still the same so really I can't complain. This isn't the best of concealers out there, but I'm totally in love with it. Think of it as an irrational bias lol.
With all the purchases I made, it's no wonder I got a free USB Fan and Nymph Aura samples for my purchase. I think it was a pretty productive haul all in all. I'll be doing reviews on all of these products soon so I hope you guys stay tuned!
