I woke up this morning to a few pleasant surprises. As some of you might know, I've revived the fanfiction writer within me. Yes, I know fanfiction is a bastardized version of fiction. Half the writing is done for you because all your characters already have their profiles and backgrounds. But hey, that's a good thing when you don't really have any time to conceptualize characters of your own.
I'm not saying that I lack the capability to do so, I'm just saying that like with every endeavor in my life, I was bit too lazy to try and build some of my own characters up, so I'm settling for writing fanfiction for some already existing characters. It's fun actually. I was a huge fanfiction buff back when I was in grade school, where I'd write fanfiction about Cardcaptor or Daa!Daa!Daa or random crap about classmates. (I'm sure some of you are familiar with my JoexAlvin fanfiction concept which is nowhere near as gross as the JaoaqxJoe one Marz wrote. So don't judge me)
The point is that I've been really getting into fanfiction lately, and when I woke up this morning, I was greeted with five new reviews on my account for one of my stories. Actually, scratch that, my only story. It's nice to know people enjoy my writing. Which is more than I can say for this blog. People hardly even comment here anymore (MY CBOX IS LONELY PEOPLE ;_;) Another surprise was the fact that Sterling Knight actually twitted :-> Which makes me feel sorta special for no apparent reason. Anything Sterling Knight makes my day a better one :D
For lunch today, we ate at Johnny Rockets over at Eastwood. I had thought to start vlogging today but I forgot to bring my camera ;_; It's the second time my family and I have eaten there in a month's time and it's seriously starting to take its toll. I feel fat already :( Seriously, it should be illegal to eat there more than once a month. 1) They're food is amazing. 2) It's also amazingly unhealthy. But I'm not really complaining.
I got a new blouse from Cushe that I am totally in love with It's pink with a blue undertrimming. Usually I don't wear pink, but it was just too cute to pass up.
When I got home I went straight to working on my Econ Project advertisement, which turned out better than I had thought it would. Our product is Banana Mush Facial Wash. My groupmates had come up with it because of some retreat activity they did that involved bananas in your face. Sadly, I know nothing of their escapades because like the good little girl I am, I didn't go to retreat.
Either way, our project turned out pretty well. I think our market strategy was very well planned out. Too bad we won't really be able to execute it seeing as it's the end of the year and all. But you can still go listen to our ad (voiced and produced by my) on the side of this post.
On a side note, Adrian Begonia just sent me a very disturbing link. WTF did they do to Pisay yo!?!?!

This is ridiculous. I mean, it was understandable when viscom did it to the volleyball court. It was an isolated area. It was also fine when 2009 did it to the astb, at least it was somewhat artistic and pleasing to the eye.
But THIS? This just looks like those sad MMDA paintings that fail at trying to make drab hollow block walls look nice. I mean, I'd understand if Sir asked TALENTED people to paint pisay. The viscom paintings weren't half bad because they were actually quite aesthetically appealing... but leaving the entire greater oval it to AMATEURS??? This is SAD D:
My faith in humanity has just decreased exponentially (See what I did there? Humanity = humanities = Art? LOLOL)
I hear they painted the flagpole area as well. Hell just froze over.
I know I've been the one saying that we should give the lower years a chance and that we should be patient and blahblahblahblahblah, but this just cuts it. I'm planning on bringing my bro's Subaru and all its drifting glory to burn the tires out on the pavement and try as best I can to erase the sad excuse for street art.
Or not. I haven't actually seen it up close. For all I know, some art may actually be decent. But that does not excuse the fact that AS A WHOLE, it looks RIDICULOUS.
I pity the incoming first years and their drivers/moms/dads when they come to pick them up. Not only will they have to avoid volleyballs, careless street walkers and random bits of trash on the road, but now they'll also have an eyesore of a road to dive on. Srsly, that road is gonna cause an accident some day.
