Distractions

I posted awhile ago, and since I'm definitely making it a point to revive this blog, I don't see any harm in posting another.

I'd like to take the time to discuss "distractions".

In my case in particular, I am distracted by a number of things. And no, my short attention span doesn't particularly help. I'm sure a number of you have already noticed that.

I get distracted when I see something particularly "beautiful". Let's broaden that word.

What is "beautiful" in my opinion? Well, I find a few things beautiful that normal people usually wouldn't (surprise, surprise *insert sarcasm here*). Since it's impossible for me to give a direct meaning to the word in my context, let me make a list of things I find particularly beautiful.

I find the way chalk sometimes skids past the chalkboard forming what I call "rain lines" beautiful. The sound is exquisite. It's not a fetish, it's just pretty.

I find hair that's wavy and out of place at the right places beautiful. Don't look at me weirdly when I suddenly blurt out that your hair looks pretty (that goes for guys too)

I find the way some guys' shoulders are squared off so symmetrically beautiful. It's so intriguing. You know, like looking at Mt. Mayon's slope and thinking it's perfect? I get the same feeling when looking at broad, squared-off shoulders.

I find the way some people write curvy t's beautiful. I love curvy t's.

In the middle of a class, I will stop a teacher in his/her tracks just to admire his/her shoes. I'm particularly vulnerable when a teacher is wearing wedges just a tad bit taller than three inches. Wedges are love.

I find mini-tornados beautiful. You see them at the backlob when leaves spiral around and flutter in such a beautiful motion. I've only seen once when somebody pointed it out to me and I have, since then, been in love.

As you can see, it is no wonder why I get distracted so easily. Amidst studying for a test the very next period, I still manage to bust my way into conversation and forget to study at all. That's normal. It happens with anybody.

PEOPLE IN GENERAL DISTRACT ME

But when someone says that I distract them?

That's when I'm caught totally off guard, and for once in probably a very long time, my attention is focused on that one thing. That one tiny thing.

You. You better keep my secret :))

Hey. I didn't really mean all those things I said a while ago. You know me. And sure, I will (If what I'm thinking you're asking me to keep is what I'm thinking I should keep because I'm thinking I'm the one you're thinking to keep whatever it is to keep... and I'm thinking I'm the one who kept you thinking... I feel responsible... I'm really sorry). -signed by the one whose birthday you haven't discovered
